Allow approximately one hour for the full appointment. The therapy itself runs for 40 minutes. For children under 14, sessions are 20 minutes.

Please wear a long-sleeved, soft t-shirt, full-length soft pants, and socks. Avoid clothing with bulky seams to prevent irritation during the session.

Stay well hydrated—just like after any massage. We recommend drinking a glass of water every hour for the three hours following your session.

Compression therapy is not suitable for individuals with:
Acute inflammation (e.g., phlebitis, thrombosis).
Active infections, such as infected ulcers.
Pregnancy.
Back or hip conditions unless cleared by a medical professional.
Broken bones.
Severe spinal curvature in the abdomen.
Congestive heart failure.

Common responses include:
Increased energy.
A deeper, more restful sleep.
A sense of calm and relaxation.
Mild dehydration.
Depending on your body’s condition, you may also experience temporary responses such as:
Restless sleep as your body adjusts.
Headaches.
Unusual tiredness for a day or two.
Flu-like symptoms or a “hungover” feeling.
Joint discomfort.
These are typically short-lived as your body rebalances.

The compression should feel like a gentle, supportive hug—not like the tight squeeze of a blood pressure cuff. More pressure is not more effective.

We recommend waiting at least three days between sessions. Many people benefit from weekly sessions.

Flowpresso is generally recommended for individuals aged 14 to 85. We have worked with children as young as 10.

It’s perfectly fine to have a session before or after your period. During menstruation, however, the therapy may increase blood flow.
