FAQs

  • Allow approximately one hour for the full appointment. The therapy itself runs for 40 minutes. For children under 14, sessions are 20 minutes.

  • Please wear a long-sleeved, soft t-shirt, full-length soft pants, and socks. Avoid clothing with bulky seams to prevent irritation during the session.

  • Stay well hydrated—just like after any massage. We recommend drinking a glass of water every hour for the three hours following your session.

  • Compression therapy is not suitable for individuals with:

    • Acute inflammation (e.g., phlebitis, thrombosis).

    • Active infections, such as infected ulcers.

    • Pregnancy.

    • Back or hip conditions unless cleared by a medical professional.

    • Broken bones.

    • Severe spinal curvature in the abdomen.

    • Congestive heart failure.

  • Common responses include:

    • Increased energy.

    • A deeper, more restful sleep.

    • A sense of calm and relaxation.

    • Mild dehydration.

Depending on your body’s condition, you may also experience temporary responses such as:

    • Restless sleep as your body adjusts.

    • Headaches.

    • Unusual tiredness for a day or two.

    • Flu-like symptoms or a “hungover” feeling.

    • Joint discomfort.

These are typically short-lived as your body rebalances.

  • The compression should feel like a gentle, supportive hug—not like the tight squeeze of a blood pressure cuff. More pressure is not more effective.

  • We recommend waiting at least three days between sessions. Many people benefit from weekly sessions.

  • We suggest starting with at least three sessions (one per week), then continuing at your own pace for maintenance and ongoing benefits.

  • Flowpresso is generally recommended for individuals aged 14 to 85. We have worked with children as young as 10.

  • It’s perfectly fine to have a session before or after your period. During menstruation, however, the therapy may increase blood flow.
